For Piper’s birthday this year we decided to have a family BBQ in the evening. During the day we took things slower, dashing off to Salt Lake City for Piper’s haircut and then letting the girls enjoy one of Piper’s birthday presents early – a DVD with her favorite Nickelodeon shows on it – while I got dinner prepped.
Grandma & Grandpa Kay; Grandma Jerry; Rachel, Derek and baby Rose (along with pups Jack and Sam) helped us celebrate. We grilled burgers and hot dogs, with chips and salsa, and a couple of salads, topped off with cupcakes and pie. The weather was a gorgeous summer night and we all had a great time!
