Ava wanted to have a birthday party this year and invite some of her friends. Knowing her penchant for all things girlie, I remembered seeing a fairy party at a great website I frequent. Aren’t these just the cutest graphics? Living Locurto has lots and lots of great party ideas and printables (freebies too!) but this one caught my eye. A little different than a straight princess party with a color scheme I can work with. Woo hoo!
We had her party the week after her birthday, so that her cousin Julia could attend too (she was visiting from Las Vegas that weekend). What a great time! Six little girls in matching tutus, decorating fairy wings, Disney fairies on their cupcakes, and a fun goody bag to take home.
I made the tutus from three different colored tulle and strung it into a stretchy headband, so it would fit each of the girls. The fairy wings I found by chance on a trip to Michael’s. A six pack of cardboard fairy wings complete with elastic fasteners cost less than $2.00 with the coupon I had in my wallet. Score! The Disney fairies came from the Disney store, which had a six pack (yeah, the right number) on sale for $9. All of the graphics came from the Living Locurto party pack. In order to save some ink in my printer, I sent the graphics over to Office Max to print out, costing me about $.60 per piece. Overall, I was quite happy with how everything turned out. The girls seemed to have a great time plus take home some fun souvenirs to boot. I can’t wait to start planning the next one (coming in March).

Oh the cuteness!!! I can't handle the cuteness!! The fun you get to have with girls!
Sarah, that is just too adorable! You did an amazing job on just a shoestring and it's obvious that they all had a blast--even Piper :) LOVE the tutus and I really want a pair of fairy wings now :)
Love,
Tracy
