Backtracking – My MFA Reunion

I can’t believe I forgot to let you see some pictures of my graduate school reunion last month!  OK, I can believe it because I was right in the middle of some other pretty big stuff, but better late than never right?

Almost all of the Southern Utah University MFA Classes of 2003 and 2004 were able to make the trip back to Cedar City during the first weekend of August and we enjoyed the best time reconnecting.  But after being gone over 6 years alot had happened to all of us – so we also brought along spouses and children who had been added to our circle of love during that time.

016Katy (left) and Holly (right) were two of my closest friends  at school.  In fact Holly was my roommate during my second year.  They, along with their husbands Dave and Joel respectively, flew into Las Vegas on Thursday and we were able to spend time together before heading to Utah.  It was a blast!  I couldn’t have asked for a better day.  Holly and Katy and the type of friends that you can see but once every few years and pick up right where you left off.  I am so blessed!

Friday night we had a BBQ in Cedar City at our friend (and classmate’s) house Marlo.  Gorgeous weather and more yummy food than you could eat.  And all the kids in attendance (save for baby Jared) were girls.  Throw in a fun playhouse with sand box underneath and boy, did they have fun!

Saturday night we all went to the Greenshow at the Utah Shakespearean Festival.  Lily had the best time!  You couldn’t keep her seated, she was laughing, dancing, singing and generally wiggling with joy.  I laughed so hard I cried at her antics, she was so funny.

I just LOVE your comments and pics of Lily having such fun--Levi gets like that too. I think we have just as much fun watching them as they're having. I love the laughs and giggles and wide smiles--they're so adorable! And Lily's outfit there is really cute too--love the leggings. I'm so glad you guys had such a good time, it's so nice to see old friends :)
